St. Peter's has many different committees which oversee both the day-to-day and special activities that the church participates in. Below the different committes and their purposes are listed. Most membership of committees is selected annually for 2-3 year terms depending on the committee and it's definition in the by-laws. Consistory
The consistory is the main governing board of the church and oversees most church operational decisions.
Other committees typically report to the consistory. Consistory approves reports and budgets prior to
the church's annual meeting. Members are elected to the consistory for 3 years at a time.
Consistory
typically meets on the third tuesday of the month at the church.

Trustees
A group who are members of the consistory, the trustees are in charge of verifying andd keeping track of
the church's overall financial situation.
Altar
The altar committee helps to keep our sanctuary ordered and beautiful.
Bereavement Dinners
This group helps to plan and take care of individuals in need of bereavement assistance.
Board of Christian Education
The board of CE is tasked with guiding and furthering the Christian Education of all
members of the church. Board of CE is made up of the pastor, the Consisotry President, 6 members of
the congregation, and 2 youth representatives. Board of CE meets monthly at the church.

Building and Grounds
Building and Grounds is responsible for the upkeep of the church and parsonage property. This includes
maintenance, and cleaniness.

Church and Ministry
Church and Ministry is the liason between the congregation and the pastor. Additionally church and ministory
acts as a review board for church personnel and maintains the policies and forms in effect each year.

Endowment
Endowment is tasked with maintaining the endowments provided by members of the church for specific church needs.
Endowment will authorize the distribution of dollars from the funds.
Health and Wellness
The health and wellness committee is made up of the Parish Nurse. The committee is setup to provide
a means for members of the congregation to have understanding of health issues and is a method for
members to find consultation as necessary.
Historical
The historical records committee is setup to provide and maintain a complete and accurate history of the church,
its membership, and activities.
Hospitality
Hospitality is tasked with ensuring that visitors, guests, and members are treated with all due respect
and courtesy. Hospitality is in charge of fellowship time and organizing the members of the consistory for bringing
snacks to accompany coffee and drinks during the fellowship hour.
Memorial
Memorial helps to oversee the collection and distribution of funds bequeated to the church upon the passing of a
church member. Memorial ensures proper thank you's are presented as well as appropriate distribution of
funds takes place.

Memorial
The music committee plans and schedules the musical direction for the church. Music liases between
the congregation, the pastor, and the musical staff in order to ensure smooth direction.

Nominating
Nominations works to gather individuals to join the committees each year as members reach the end of their terms.
Specifically nominations acquires interested members for the Board of Christian Education and the Constistory.
Stewardship
Stewardship is in charge of guiding the stewardship education of the members of the church through programs
which will enhance giving of means and talents to others. Stewardship is also in charge of organizing the
annual stewardship pledge drive in the fall.
Womens Fellowship Board
Organizes events for the women of the church as well as most of the dinners and other events.

Worship
The worship committee is organized to provide direction in the manner in which the church
will worship during the regular services.

Coordinates to have welcomers, userhs, and greeters available at all worship services.
