Mission

We are guided by our Mission Statement which was adopted by our congregation a few years ago. "Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are called by God: To minister to and provide fellowship for a wide circle of diverse persons; To provide a spiritual, social, and physical environment that encourages participation of all members; To participate in the wider mission of the Church through our prayers, actions, and financial giving; To participate with others for peace, justice, healing, and wholeness of life for all of God's creation."

St. Peter's is a local congregation of the United Church of Christ. Our denomination has a web site at www.ucc.org.

As a part of the United Church of Christ, St. Peter's is part of the Sunrise Cluster Churches within the Eastern Association of the Illinois Conference of the United Church of Christ.
